The 6'2" Paraiso confirmed his departure from the team in a simple Twitter message early Saturday evening.

His departure came following the return of the team from Sorsogon to Manila.

“Nakakalungkot pero kailangan. Mahal na mahal kita UST,” wrote  Paraiso.

His teammate Rhenz Abando is reportedly packing his bags as well, and could be headed for Letran. But this remained unconfirmed, with Letran officials still clueless on Abando's fate.

Paraiso played in high school for De La Salle Zobel. He enjoyed two seasons with the Green Archers in 2017 and 2018 in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men's basketball tournament, the years that Aldin Ayo was their coach.

In 2019, he left the Green Archers with brothers, Ricci and Prince Rivero, and followed Ayo when he transferred to the UST camp.

With his departure, he will reportedly have no more playing years left should he undergo residency and suit up for another varsity squad.

It was reported that when the Growling Tigers underwent months of training in Sorsogon, he joined former team skipper Cansino and Bismarck Lina in leaving the camp, only to return later.

Paraiso followed the path taken by Cansino, who left the Tigers' camp last week and eventually joined the University of Fighting Maroons.

The training camp, known as the “Sorsogon bubble,” has been stopped a week after Cansino was taken off the team.

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines has internally probed the Growling Tigers' alleged training camp in Sorsogon at a time when no sports undertaking or physical activities are allowed by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

Paraiso normed 7.2 points on 32-percent shooting from deep, to go with 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists at the end of Season 82.

So far, Paraiso has not yet indicated his next plans.
