Police arrested three persons, including a minor, and seized more than P1 million worth of shabu during a drug entrapment operation Thursday night in Makati City.
The main target of the police operation, 30-year-old Kristina Taculod alias “Neng,” was arrested along with her cohorts Rodelio Ramos, 39, and a 15-year old girl.
Seized from the suspects were 150 grams of shabu, P70,000 boodle money used in the drug bust, and three mobile phones.
Operatives of the Southern Police District and Makati City Police Station coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Kamuning Police Station in the drug bust near Taculod’s residence at Block 317, Lot 10, Mockingbird Street in Barangay Rizal around 7:25 p.m.
Prior to the arrest, the authorities made a surveillance operation after a police informant reported to the Central Police District-Kamuning Police Station the illegal activities of alias “Neng,” who was said to be dealing drugs in Barangay Rizal.
The station’s officer in-charge immediately informed the Drug Enforcement Unit and coordinated with officials of the PDEA-National Capital Region office to verify the report.
PDEA-NCR confirmed that Taculod was among the persons in its drug watchlist. The police arranged the entrapment and one of their operatives disguised as a buyer, who able to negotiate with the suspects, resulting in their arrest.
The suspects are now detained at the Kamuning Police Station and will charged with violation of Sec. 5 and Sec 11 Article II of R.A. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The arrest came a week after two big-time drug dealers were apprehended, also in Makati City.
Suspects Tristan Jay Ocfemia, alias “Yeye,” and Oliver Rogelio Benitez were arrested at the parking lot of a fast-food chain along A.P. Reyes Avenue in Barangay Tejeros.
Police recovered from the suspects P3.5 million worth of shabu, two motorcycles, and the money used in the entrapment operation.
