Now that they have a complete roster of players, United City Football Club, will now move on to get a head coach.
Co-owner Eric Gottschalk said this Wednesday after they signed up former Far Eastern University star Pocholo Bugas into the team.
Gottschalk said they have found a replacement for Risto Vidakovic, and they will name their new coach by Friday.
The new mentor will take over in coming PFL season and the resumption of the AFC Cup.
The new coach will be around as the AFC resumes on November 23.
“It’s just a matter time before our team will be able compete in the group stages,” said Gottschalk, whose team replaced the Ceres Negros FC squad.
Bugas will be playing out of school, and this is the second time this has happened in Philippine football.
“We have finalized our roster for this season. We will now have 16 players coming on board. Now we have a total of 21,” said Gottschalk.
On the other hand, the new coach was chosen from a pool of seven candidates.
