Metro Manila police deputy director Nolasco Bathan is now the acting chief of the National Capital Region Police Office after Director Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas went on leave for a three-day medical check-up at the Chinese Medical Hospital.
Sinas made this announcement Wednesday, saying Bathan, who is the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, will be the NCRPO officer-in-charge until August 23 or upon his return.
“I will be admitted at said hospital starting this evening, Aug 19, 2020 at 5 p.m., henceforth, all concerns and communications shall be directed to the OIC, NCRPO,” said Sinas in a memorandum to the five district commanders in Metro Manila and NCRPO key officers.
“Nonetheless, I will continuously monitor the activities and operations of NCRPO from time to time. Should there be any emergencies or crisis that need my direct supervision, rest assured, I will be there,” he added.
