This August, GMA News and Public Affairs' longest-running investigative program Imbestigador returns with “Quarantine Crimes,” a series of all-new episodes that feature various crimes that happened during quarantine.

On Aug. 8, Imbestigador features the sensational case of Fabel Pineda, a 15-year-old girl who was killed in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur last July 2. Prior to her death, Fabel filed a complaint against two policemen of San Juan, Ilocos Sur who arrested her and her cousin for violating the curfew.

Based on Fabel’s account, the two officers initially offered to bring them home, but they ended up being molested by the two policemen. Fabel then filed a case against them. But days later, Fabel was gunned down.

Several groups and netizens denounced what happened to Fabel and her cousin. The two police officers were since relieved from their posts and charges were also filed against them.

Follow Fabel’s story in Imbestigador’s “Quarantine Crimes,” which airs beginning this Saturday after Wish Ko Lang, 4:45 p.m. on GMA-7.
