2 Caloocan villages shut for 6 days

Two other barangays in Caloocan City have been placed under a six-day lockdown due to the continuous increase in the number of people who test positive for COVID-19.

Under the direction of Mayor Oscar Malapitan, Barangay 95 and Barangay 97, which started on Sunday at midnight and will end on August 1, 2020, are being locked down at the same time.

According to the City Health Office, Barangay 95 recorded 20 confirmed cases of the virus whileBarangay 97 recorded 13 cases.

Those who tested positive for COVID-19 increased when the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) was imposed in Metro Manila.

The Caloocan LGU will distribute food packs to residents affected by the lockdown, while locals are strictly prohibited from leaving the house.

There are up to 2,900 residents affected in Barangay 95 and 1,800 in Barangay 97. Only fronliners and workers are allowed to leave their premises.
