Stamp Fairtex back in MMA action

Stamp Fairtex’s last outing in February at ONE: KING OF THE JUNGLE did not bode too well for her. The Thai native dropped her ONE Women’s Kickboxing Atomweight World Title to Janet “JT” Todd.

But next Friday, July 31, she’s hopeful that things will go differently this time around.

Stamp will return to mixed martial arts action when she battles Sunisa “Thunderstorm” Srisen at ONE: NO SURRENDER on in Bangkok, Thailand – and the Rayong representative could not be more excited.

“It feels good to get back into training full swing, and of course, I’m happy to be fighting again after taking a break for a few months due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” Stamp said.

Stamp, also the ONE Women’s Muay Thai Atomweight World Champion, has yet to lose in mixed martial arts, having won all her four bouts in impressive fashion.

The 22-year-old hopes to become one the first simultaneous three-sport World Champions in ONE’s history, and although she dropped her second belt to Todd a few months ago, her mixed martial arts career has gone well.

But that does not mean she will have it easy against the debuting Srisen, who will also put her immaculate record on the line.

Srisen made a name for herself as a devastating finisher in Thailand’s Full Metal Dojo promotion, and a lot of people expect her to go all out against the Fairtex representative – Stamp included.

“I’m excited to get in the ring with my opponent. I’ve studied her style from her previous fights. She’s strong and has very good speed. I’ll see what I can do in this fight,” Stamp said.

“It’s definitely a worthy challenge. I’ve also improved a lot since my last bout. I want to thank all the fans for their continued support.”

ONE Championship returns to live action for the first time in nearly five months with ONE: NO SURRENDER, a closed-door, audience-free card set for July 31, in Bangkok, Thailand. Catch the event live and for free by downloading the ONE Super App.
