Mapúa’s Center for Continuing Education and Special Competencies (CCESC) offers training courses covering the fundamentals of data and system security, which include threat intelligence, network security, digital forensic, configuration, and risk management, among others.

“The Mapúa CCESC Cybersecurity Academy is a complete roster of training courses geared towards a specialization track on cybersecurity. It is a consortium of specialized courses being taught by industry experts and partners of Mapúa CCESC,” Dr. Aileen Nieva, director of Mapúa CCESC, said.

Students and professionals can complete majority of these courses in 40 hours, within 5 days for 8-hr course, or within 10 days if taken in 4-hr modular class. Initially, CCESC offers classes in online mode of delivery with blended synchronous and asynchronous activities. However, CCESC can accommodate requests from corporate clients for onsite training as long as the social distancing guidelines are strictly followed.

After completing the training courses, the students can take various certification exams depending on their chosen specialization in cybersecurity or depending on their niche in their organization.

Dr. Nieva said that both students and professionals, in the Philippines and abroad, can enroll in the program provided that they have completed the prerequisite courses.

For the program, the Yuchengco-led university allied itself with cybersecurity solutions providers like Nexusguard, Huawei, Cisco, and private training company ERG Learning Center.

Interested participants can enroll through the forms provided at ccesc.mapua.edu.ph.

Mapúa is recognized as a Center of Excellence by the Commission on Higher Education for its programs in information technology.
