J&T Express Philippines said Wednesday it will cooperate in any investigation by the government over the viral video of mishandling parcels and other consumer complaints.
“We appreciate the concern expressed by the President towards our customers’ welfare as well as the well-being of our many partners and employees,” J&T Express Philippines vice president Zoe Chi said.
“Furthermore, we will cooperate with the government in any investigation that it will conduct. We are committed to improving our services for the benefit of the public,” she said.
J&T Express’ statement came after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered an investigation about the viral video of mishandled parcels and other complaints. Dutere ordered the National Bureau of Investigation and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to investigate J&T. He also asked the Bureau of Internal Revenue to look at the finances of the logistics firm.
