Smart Araneta Coliseum continues to provide OPM entertainment online with the third installment of the virtual music concert JAM Sessions tomorrow, June 5, 8:00 p.m., via the Big Dome’s official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/thearanetacoliseum/).
In partnership with Ivory Music & Videos, Smart Araneta Coliseum presents another musical treat for its online followers, this time featuring the music of hip-hop rising star Lirah and acoustic band MYMP.
Lirah entered the music scene through GMA’s talent reality show Protégé in 2011, where she finished as runner-up. After being mentored by Gloc-9 in the show, she became a prized talent of the master rapper. Her debut single “Sahod” gained praises on the hip-hop scene and catapulted her career locally.
MYMP started its colorful OPM journey in 1999. The band has garnered multiple awards with local big hits such as “Sa Kanya” and “Crazy For You”. Through the years, it has introduced changes in the band line-up, now composed of Carmella Ravanilla (vocalist), Chin Alcantara (vocalist, guitarist), Aaron Cadaing (bassist), Benj Bamba (drummer), and Donna Moreno (keyboards and vocals).
The JAM Sessions was organized to support the #TogetherWeHeal donation drive of Araneta City, which will benefit indigent families affected by the enhanced community quarantine. Check out more details about Araneta City’s campaign at http://bit.ly/AranetaDonationDrive.
