The J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the social responsibility arm of Araneta City, has turned over more food aid on May 7 to select communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic through the donations from the #TogetherWeHeal campaign.
Target recipients are 400 families from two barangays in Caloocan City, 120 families from Barangay San Martin De Porres in Quezon City, and 130 families from Gawad Kalinga – Munting Pamayanan Village in Quezon City.
Present in the turnover held at the Araneta City were Atty. Jecos Carlos III of the Caloocan City LGU, Lydia Gello-Agan of Brgy. San Martin de Porres, Maricel Jadera of Gawad Kalinga – Munting Pamayanan, and representatives of JAAF and Araneta City.
“We are happy that through the public’s support to our #TogetherWeHeal donation drive, we are starting to reach out to more families. We look forward to helping other communities affected by COVID-19,” said Diane Romero, JAAF executive director.
The #TogetherWeHeal campaign of JAAF is in partnership with Araneta City, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc., and Ticketnet. It was launched last March 31 to help indigent Filipino families in Metro Manila with difficult access to basic food needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For as low as P350, a donor may be able to provide one food pack that contains canned goods, packs of noodles, and vegetable seed packets provided by the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Plant Industries.
Interested donors may still donate to the #TogetherWeHeal campaign via TicketNet online (bit.ly/AranetaDonationDrive) until June 15.
