NLEX Corp. said it has so far provided P2.95 million worth of free toll to 3,610 doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals battling the coronavirus pandemic.
The amount has been waived in appreciation of the unwavering service of medical frontliners during these challenging times.
As part of its program to support the mobility needs of healthcare workers in the COVID-19 efforts, the company offered toll exemption in NLEX and SCTEX through Easytrip RFID stickers for the entire duration of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
“We are delighted to help thousands of our heroes who put their lives on the line. During this extended ECQ, we remain committed to prioritize the unhampered movement of essential workers and basic commodities,” said NLEX president and general manager J. Luigi L. Bautista.
