The City Government of Navotas will grant a one-time special risk allowance to all city public health workers who serve during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
City Ordinance No. 2020-20 stated that public health workers in Navotas who are in direct contact with suspected, probable and positive COVID-19 patients will be provided with additional pay equivalent to a maximum of 25 percent of their monthly salary.
This is on top of their P500 daily hazard pay.
“We are grateful to our health workers for their professionalism and commitment to their duty. We want them to know our government and our people value their selfless sacrifice in this time of crisis,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
Public health workers included in the ordinance are medical, allied medical, and other necessary personnel assigned in hospital and healthcare facilities of the city who work directly with COVID-19 related cases.
