It is certainly a trying time for people all over the world as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to take thousands of lives and paralyze the global economy.
But it is not the only enemy that the world is facing right now.
Racism has been a major issue all over the globe, with mixed-nationalities often the target of such unacceptable behavior and irrational fears.
The virus originated from Wuhan, China in Asia – and that is why Asian minorities are often the targets of such abuses worldwide.
ONE Championship aims to put an end to all of it.
The Home Of Martial Arts recently put up the “#WeAreONE Against Racism’ campaign to send a message of solidarity and unity among all races in this battle against a faceless enemy.
A short video was produced by ONE, with the message saying “No country has a face. No virus has a race. End the hate. End racism.”
The video includes the biggest ONE Championship stars in ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen, who is of Vietnamese-Australian heritage, Armenian-Italian ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan, reigning ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee who is a Singaporean-American, and many more.
ONE has always celebrated diversity as it has been active in pushing forward the values of martial arts in integrity, humility, honor, respect, courage, discipline, and compassion since its start in 2011.
So it comes as no surprise that The Home Of Martial Arts is at the forefront of the battle against racism during this crisis. And unlike the war against COVID-19, the fight against racism is something that can be won over if people all over the world unite against it.
