A physician-in-charge of a health center of the Manila Health Department died after figuring in a vehicular accident in Manila, the acting city health officer said on Thursday.
Dr. Arnold Pangan, MHD acting city health officer, said Dr. Maria Teresa Ballat Dajao, physician-in-charge of Kahilum Health Center, died on Wednesday as a result of a vehicular accident that happened near Pres. Quirino Avenue in Pandacan.
Dajao was 53.
“Dra. Dajao is a hardworking and dependable Physician-in-Charge of Kahilum Health Center of Manila Health Department,” Pangan said.
“Dra. Dajao, with her significant contributions providing a higher standard of health care services to the Manilans, will be sorely missed by her colleagues and friends in the Manila Health Department,” he added.
