Angeles City—A total of 80 jeeploads of food aid, consisting of rice and canned goods, have been distributed to residents in 33 villages here affected by the enhanced community quarantine now on the second week.
The local government loaded 20,705 emergency food packs. Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. himself led the house-to-house distribution.
Lazatin said the Angeles LGU hired public utility jeeps that carried the food packs to reach households even in the remotest areas.
Lazatin said the city government remain of service to its constituents in this trying times. In fact, the Saturday food aid distribution was the second. The first was on April 1 and April 2 where 50,000 households got their shares bringing to 70,705 bags of relief goods distributed.
