Clark Freeport, Pampanga–The Clark International Airport temporarily suspended its commercial operations effective April 3, 2020.
In a media advisory, the international airport whose operation and management are being handled by Luzon International Premier Airport Development said that the suspension aims to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus in the areas and protect the health, safety, and welfare of passengers and workers.
The management caution booked passengers that they don’t have to worry as they can always rebook their flights upon the resumption of its operation when everything returns to normal.
The advisory did not mention when it will resume operations amid the looming extension of the lockdown for another 60 days.
Earlier, the airport was under strong pressure from local government units near former US Air Force base for its temporarily closure to contain the spread of the Covid-19 infectious disease that is now engulfing the world.
