Bureau of Immigration (BI) officers assigned at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 have intercepted three Chinese nationals with falsified passport stamps who tried to leave for Vietnam.
BI Port Operations Division Chief Grifton Medina said the three, identified as Qiu Qilong, Su Lianfa, and Wang Huiting, were intercepted upon attempting to depart via a Philippine Airlines flight for Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
“Upon verification of our records, it was confirmed that they falsified their previous travel history,” said Medina.
“In their passports you would see that they arrived last February, but our database clearly shows that they’ve been here without leaving since January,” he added.
Medina said that their centralized database contains all the travel information of arriving and departing passengers, hence “falsification of such in travel documents would be easily detected by officers.”
The three were immediately deported and included the BI’s blacklist.
