The Aboitiz Group said its business units are extending assistance to clients and customers to cope with the Covid-19 crisis and ensure delivery of service.

The distribution units of Aboitiz Power Corp.—Visayan Electric, Davao Light, Cotabato Light, and Subic EnerZone—extended the payment of bills due on March 15 to April 14, 2020 and limited scheduled power interruptions.
Business continuity plans are in place across AboitizPower’s power generation facilities and distribution utilities to ensure the adequate and reliable supply and distribution of electricity.
The group’s banking unit, Union Bank of the Philippines, offered a 30-day extension with no late fees on payment of credit cards, housing loans, auto loans,and quick loans to qualified customers, and waived online Instapay transfer fees until April 14, 2020.
The bank is encouraging customers to go digital and bank from home, which the bank’s infrastructure supports.
Property unit AboitizLand Inc. is waiving one-month rent to all tenants of its malls in Luzon and Visayas and extended payment deadlines on bills issued during the previous month. The relief will enable tenants to provide assistance to their employees.
AboitizLand also provided equity payment extensions to home buyers with due dates from March 16 to April 15, 2020. It waived penalties and fees associated with transactions during the period.
Pilmico Foods Corp. continued operations and production in its flour, feeds and farm facilities to contribute to food supply stability in areas covered by the quarantine.
