South Korean actor Ji Soo makes his way to capture the hearts of Filipino koreaboos as the newest member of Team Penshoppe.
The 27-year-old Ji Soo has the makings of a star. Charm and killer looks aside, his versatility in acting sets him apart from your usual male drama leads. He started out as an actor trainee early in his career, appearing only in cameos on TV. The actor gained popularity after his skillful performances in the dramas Angry Mom and Sassy Go Go in 2015.
Offers kept rolling in after that, landing him his breakout roles in the romantic comedy “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” fantasy romance “Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” and action-packed “Bad Guys: City of Evil.” He also played cameo roles in “Doctors” and “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo,” where he appeared alongside his best friend and Team Penshoppe’s very own Nam Joo Hyuk.
Most recently, Ji Soo headlined Netflix’s My First First Love and will soon be returning to TV as the lead role for webtoon-adaptation drama Amanza, which tells the story of a 26-year-old man with terminal cancer.
“We’re very excited to have Ji Soo join Penshoppe’s growing pack of international ambassadors. He is an endearing person and the utmost professional. His boldness, confidence, and taste for fashion that’s both stylish and comfortable align well with Penshoppe,” says Golden ABC Vice President for Brand Management Jeff Bascon.
Ji Soo joins Millie Bobby Brown, Blackpink’s Lisa Manoban and Jordan Barrett in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2020 Campaign. The collection blurs the style line between beach-inspired easy living and the increasingly ironic urban zeitgeist with pieces such as utility pants, jumpsuits, and vests in refined nylons, seersuckers, liquid surfaces, and satins – all perfect to mix-and-match.
The Penshoppe Spring/Summer 2020 Collection is available in all Penshoppe boutiques and online at www.penshoppe.com.
