The official 4-Man Lineup of the Philippines to the 2020 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Bengaluru, India on March 18 to 22, composed of Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Moala Tautuaa, and Jaymar Perez are deep in training.
Blending well together is expected from top two 3×3 ranked players Munzon and Pasaol with SEAG 3×3 gold medalists Tautuaa and Perez.
The SBP Selection Committee, chaired by SBP Executive Director Sonny Barrios with members SBP Coaches Academy Head Jong Uichico, Coaches Pat Aquino, Eric Altamirano and Ronald Magsanoc, who will be the Team Delegation Head in India, oversees the overall preparation of the team for the upcoming OQT.
Serbian trainors, Stefan Stojajic and Darko Krsman who are 3×3 specialists, supervise the day-to-day practice and training of the team and other pool players.
Tautuaa expressed eagerness to learn from Trainor Stojajic.
Perez, coming early morning from GILAS game vs Indonesia in Jakarta on February 24th, gamely attended the 3 p.m. practice of the 3×3 OQT team.
Four Serbian 3×3 players play against and practice with the team to simulate the games specifically of the opposing teams in its group, Slovenia, France, Qatar and Dominican Republic in Pool C.
The top two teams will advance to the Quarterfinals playoff round.
SBP officials and Selection Committee members attend the team’s practices to show active support and give personal encouragement to the 3×3 OQT pool of players in the country’s bid to play in the coming Tokyo Olympiad.
