The second semester activities of the National Collegiate Athletic Association are set to resume in the third week of March.
The proposed dates on the resumption of hostilities was put forward last Wednesday following a meeting of the NCAA Management Committee.
The Mancom proposed to the NCAA Policy Board that March 16 is best time to restart the matches for indoor volleyball, football, lawn tennis and soft tennis.
Track and field is also being slated on that week.
There are plans to have Kiddies Basketball 15-under on April 25, while beach volleyball is on April 29
“This is subject to the approval of our Policy Board. Our recommendation is to resume on March 16.” said Mancom chairman Peter Cayco of season 95 host Arellano University.
Cayco said cheerleading competition are set to be held as scheduled on March 30, “but without the awarding of the overall championship because there are still two events.”
Organizers are temporarily suspending all scheduled games of the NCAA two weeks ago as a precautionary measure on the spread of the coronavirus
Cayco said their actions are in compliance with the advisories sent out by the Department of Health, Department of Education, the Commission on Higher Education and the local government units concerned.
