This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

CHIVAS was given to Tess Cayanas by her best friend who was going home to the province to live there permanently.
“My eight-month-old baby had four siblings which were adopted also. I gladly took Chivas home and he instantly became my bestfriend, “ Tess says.
“He loves snapping at plastic bottles and climbing the windows. He goes out to poop and pee,” Tess adds.
“Somehow I was able to train him well. I bring him to the vet for his check-up to make sure he is healthy.” Tess says.
SOLOMON was a regular visitor in the clothes store of Basky Tuazon in Mandaluyong.
“One day, he just came by. Solomon would jump on the pile of clothes and rest there the whole day. Every day he would come,”shares Basky.
“I started feeding him fish and from then on, he never left me,” Basky adds.
“When it's closing time, he would stretch out and walk out of my store. He would wait for me to be done and I would put him in my bag and we would bike on our way home. He loves bike rides,” Basky says.
“He sleeps on my bed and when morning comes, we would eat together with my wife and bike to the store again,” Basky shares.
“Solomon is my constant companion and he loves keeping me company,” Basky adds.
The vet says Solomon is one year old.
