Singer and actor Iñigo Pascual is very happy that he has gradually penetrated the international music scene. It all began when he was tapped to sing at the NBA halftime show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California during the last quarter of 2019.
“This opened other avenues for me, like working with other artists,” he says.
After that performance, the 22-year-old son of Piolo Pascual started a collaboration project with boy band Pretty Much, a group under Simon Cowell’s management.
“Then, I’m also scheduled to do a tour in the United Kingdom with another boy band called New Rules. We’re going to do nine shows. That’s the reason why I have to stay there for one month,” he adds.
Iñigo is even more excited because he will be on a tour bus and will get to perform before a different set of audience.
“They’re not all Filipinos but a mixture of different nationalities. I’m simply thankful to be given this huge opportunity. Yes, I won’t deny that I feel nervous but thrilled at the same time,” he avers.
If all these positive developments continue, many are afraid that his local career will take a back seat.
“Actually, I’ve been thinking about that. I ask myself what projects I can do as a way of giving back to my fans here in the Philippines. Of course, I still want to do Tagalog music and well, yes, get back to acting. I want to do a film or a short TV series. I’m pretty sure I can still squeeze it into my schedule. I want to do it to show my followers how I appreciate their love and support to me,” he explains.
Speaking of acting, Iñigo was last seen on the big screen via I’m Ellenya L that starred him, opposite former girlfriend, Maris Racal. It was fielded as one of the entries in the 3rd Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. Interestingly, would he still be willing to make a movie with Maris?
“I’m not closing my doors to other stars but if there’s a chance to work with Maris again, it will be my priority. Anyway, I know that our MarNigo supporters are still there.”
It’s good that he is friends with his former flame despite what happened to their romantic relationship.
“That’s true! Maris and I are fine. In fact, I’m so happy for her since she has lots of projects of late like the currently airing soap Pamilya Ko. I’m glad that we were able to maintain our friendship.”
Fans still hope that eventually, they’ll end up together.
“Well, the universe works in a crazy way. We never know what’s in store for us in the future. All we can do is wait and see,” ends Iñigo.

In his recent guest stint in the showbiz-oriented talk show Tonight with Boy Abunda, Joshua Garcia contradicted the statement of former steady Julia Barretto that in relationships, not having a closure is considered a closure already. She stated this when she also had an earlier guesting in the same show.
“As former lovers, it’s important that you have a clear talk on the matter. It’s not a closure if both of you didn’t talk about it. The end of a relationship must be clear to both parties. When there’s closure, the two of you can start to move on, right?” says Joshua.
Joshua believes that a certain kind of closure is vital to avoid getting blamed in the future.
“It’s inevitable that in the coming days, the two of you will face jokes as to who left first. A closure is essential for the two of you to have peace that you know neither of you should get the blame.”
Joshua adds that not closing things officially is a sign of disrespect.
“Oh, yes! You’ve loved the person at one point so out of respect, you should have a closure. It’s rude if you can’t give it to someone who became an integral part of your life,” he states.
