Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao—The National Electrification Administration has upgraded the overall current rating of the Maguindanao Electric Cooperative to Category A.
“It has been a long way before Magelco reached the top, Category A, that is, from poor Category D when it was ailing in 2014, and up by two steps to Category B in 2018,” said Magelco general-manager Ashary Maongco.
In his letter to Manongco, NEA Administrator Eduardo Masongsong said the Board of Administrators has approved Magelco’s adjusted electric cooperative overall performance functional indicators.
The new ratings on the country’s deserving electric cooperatives were adopted as part of NEA’s set of national policies for the year.
Magelco is credited with an overall weighted average of 80 percent, covering financial, institutional, technical and reportorial key performance standards indicators.
