Big Bad Wolf takes safety precautions amid nCoV scare

Organizers of Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Manila 2020 said safety measures will be in place during the 14-day event at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from Feb. 14 to 24, 2020 amid concerns over the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The team behind the book sale said they are making it their utmost priority to secure everyone attending the sale from the threat of contamination.

A medical team will be deployed onsite to check visitors with infrared thermometers at the entrance and exit. Those with high body temperatures will be prohibited from entering the venue.

Visitors who have cleared the screenings will then proceed to the ‘sanitation area’ at the entrance where hand sanitizers will be placed. Hand sanitizers will also be readily available at the customer service area, food concessionaire area and the exit for visitors to maintain good hygiene.

As part of the commitment of safety and security to book lovers, visitors can also be assured that the precautionary measures will be taken by employees of the sale. All employees will be checked with the infrared thermometer, strictly required to wear face masks and regularly sanitize their hands.

Employees that are unwell will be immediately sent for a medical check-up.Visitors attending the book sale are also urged to cooperate with the guidelines by taking sanitary and precautionary measures to ensure the safest book hunting experience for everyone. 

Visitors are advised to bring their own protective face masks and wear them before entering the Book Sale area.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be back by popular demand after successful visits to Manila, Davao, Cebu and Pampanga. The Manila event will be open 24 hours during the 11-day duration.

More than 2 million English titles will be available at 50 percent to 90 percent off recommended retail price and entry is free. 

The ‘Crazy Deals’ promotion will also be introduced for the first time in Manila, offering incredible further markdowns as low as P60. 

About 17,000 brand-new titles will be available at the book sale, offering numerous options from a variety of genres for readers.
