Malolos City—With the growing nationwide fear on the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (nCoV) that has entered the country, prevention is better than cure.

Following this policy, SM Malls in the province of Bulacan have beefed up their sanitation as the best preventive measure against the spread of nCoV on all its shopping malls in San Jose Del Monte, Marilao, Baliwag and Pulilan.
First, alcohol dispensers are now accessible in all entrances and rest rooms to encourage customers to sanitize their hands upon entering the mall or after using the comfort rooms. Elevators, escalator handrails, and railings are also regularly disinfected.
Second, a health advisory detailing the common signs of nCoV as well as its preventive measures are strategically posted at all entrances to raise awareness and give proper information to mallgoers.

Besides these precautionary measures, frontliners like guards and janitorial personnel have always been directed to wear masks, while tenants and mall employees have undergone awareness seminars on the nature, prevention and symptoms of nCoV.
These measures are strictly implemented for the safety of both SM customers and employees.
