The Bureau of Immigration is set to deport three foreign fugitives from China and the United States following their arrest in Parañaque City and Negros Occidental.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said the three aliens—a Chinese and two Americans—were arrested in separate operations by agents of the bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit.

“The foreigners will be deported for being undesirable aliens and for being undocumented as their passports were already canceled by their government,” Morente said.

He added that the fugitives fled to the Philippines to evade prosecution for their crimes, thus they were placed in the Immigration blacklist to prevent them from returning to the Philippines.

FSU chief Bobby Raquepo said the 19-year-old Chinese national Cai Cancan, who is wanted for economic crimes, was arrested in Parañaque City last Jan. 16.

Authorities in Xiamen, China alleged that Cai is one of the suspects wanted for operating a credit card fraud scheme that defrauded victims of more than 2 million renminbi or roughly US$300,000.
