Events and floral designer Jerry Sibal, who has worked with some of the biggest international celebrities, will officially launch the first Philippine International Flower Show at the Philippine International Convention Center on January 29 at four in the afternoon.
The PIFS, which will be held on October 15-18, 2020, is the first show of its kind that will bring together players in the industry from government tourism, agriculture and trade officials, local government executives, farmers and horticulturists, investors in flower propagation, technology providers, to end-users like hotels and other flower enthusiasts.
“We have this great opportunity to create a new sustainable and socially-conscious industry to uplift floriculture, horticulture, business, and tourism here,” says Manila-born Sibal, who migrated to New York City in 1991 and who has since been regularly coming back to the Philippines for various advocacy projects.
“There is always a possibility for growth. We only have to think big and ask ourselves how we are going to do it.”
