DPWH rushing work on C6 access road

The Department of Public Works and Highways said it is accelerating the construction of a new access road that will shorten the route between South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Circumferential Road-6 (C6).

Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said the road dubbed Bambang ni Felix Road in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taguig City is now 71 percent completed.

The project is set to be completed on March 2020.

“Decongesting traffic in major roadways in the City of Taguig such as Cayetano Boulevard, the two lane 688-meter road will also serve as an additional access from Pateros going to C-6 road which will then be linked to C-5 road,”  Villar said.

The ongoing construction of Bambang ni Felix Road is a portion of a whole program developed to link C-6 and C-5 road.

Construction works on the 41-million road project, funded under the 2019 General Appropriations Act, started in July 2019.

The agency, meanwhile, said that the P122-million Magat River Flood Control Project was recently completed.
