DoubleDragon Corp. said Tuesday its hotel unit Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp. generated more than €100,000 (P7.18 million) in recurring room revenues in a single day from its newly-opened hotel in Spain.
The 680-room Hotel101-Madrid reached 100-percent occupancy on May 19, which enabled it to achieve the record €100,000 sales milestone.
The performance marked a record for the group and underscored strong demand for the Madrid property, which officially opened in March 2026 as the first Hotel101-branded property outside the Philippines.
The property ranks among the five largest hotels in Madrid in terms of room count. Located in Valdebebas, the hotel sits near the future Formula 1 circuit and offers access to key destinations including the IFEMA convention complex, the Real Madrid sports complex and the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas International Airport.
Hotel101-Madrid features an all-day dining restaurant, swimming pools, a fitness center, business facilities and a proprietary mobile application that supports digital check-in and keyless room access.
The Madrid property will serve as the global prototype for Hotel101 as the company pursues international expansion plans.
Hotel101 aims to develop 1 million standardized hotel rooms across 100 countries as part of its long-term goal of becoming the world’s largest single-brand hotel chain.
Aside from Hotel101-Madrid, DoubleDragon will open hotels in Davao, Cebu and Japan this year.
