Converge ICT Solutions Inc. and the Danao City government have teamed up to strengthen the city’s digital framework and improve civic service delivery.
Under the agreement, the local government unit (LGU) will integrate high-capacity Dedicated Internet Access from Converge as its primary network backbone. The connectivity supports Danao City’s digital transformation roadmap to ensure seamless operational performance across all government departments.
The implementation of enterprise-grade fiber infrastructure aims to facilitate faster communication, secure data management and a more agile response to community needs.
Danao City Mayor Ramon Durano III said the city invested decisively in digital infrastructure to build an empowered and well-connected Danao.
“Back in 2023, we envisioned and launched our drive to build an empowered and well-connected Danao, investing decisively in digital infrastructure to turn that vision into reality,” Durano said.
“Today, we have connected 27 of our 42 barangays with reliable internet access. We are now pushing forward to achieve 100 percent connectivity within the year,” he said.
The collaboration accelerates the evolution of Danao City into a smart city. By leveraging the Converge network, the LGU aims to establish the environment for advanced, integrated technologies that will redefine the digital experience for residents.
