Building tomorrow’s hospitality leaders

Inside Career Connect 2025 with SM Hotels

By the time the doors of SMX Convention Center Manila opened for Career Connect 2025, a steady stream of eager applicants had already gathered, ready to explore opportunities in one of the Philippines’ largest hospitality networks.

Among the companies on hand, SM Hotels & Conventions Corporation (SMHCC) welcomed participants to discover the world of modern hospitality.

Career Connect, a flagship talent initiative of SM Prime Holdings, brought together over 860 applicants under one roof, offering a rare chance to explore careers across multiple SM business units.

For SMHCC, it was an opportunity to introduce its diverse portfolio of properties—Taal Vista Hotel, Conrad Manila, Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA, and SMX Convention Center—and the variety of roles available, from hotel operations to conventions and guest services.

The event also served as a hub of learning and guidance, with partners like BDO, SM Foundation, and LifeSkills PH providing scholarships, training, and career support.

Manpower agencies and government bodies, including PhilHealth, SSS, Pag-IBIG, DOLE, and PESO Pasay, offered practical advice and assistance, helping applicants navigate the steps toward employment with confidence.

A highlight of the day was the panel discussion, Inside SM: Empowering People, Enabling Possibilities. HR leaders from SM Prime, SM Supermalls, SMDC, and SMHCC shared insights into SM’s people-first culture, offering tips on career growth, innovation, and long-term success within the company.

“Career Connect reflects what SM Hotels & Conventions Corporation stands for: creating opportunities, investing in people, and building a future-ready hospitality workforce,” said SMHCC executive vice president Peggy E. Angeles.
