Jessica Sanchez invited to perform at ASEAN Leaders’ Summit 2026 in PH

“America’s Got Talent” Season 20 grand winner Jessica Sanchez will perform at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders’ Summit in the Philippines next year after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. personally invited the Filipina-American singer  to take part in the high-profile event.

On Tuesday, Dec. 30, Marcos confirmed the invitation during Jessica’s courtesy call at Malacañang, saying the Filipina singer will perform during the ASEAN 2026 meetings set to be held in Cebu in May. First Lady Liza Marcos shared that Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, a known music enthusiast, expressed excitement over Sanchez’s participation.

“You made us all very, very proud. The problem is with the ASEAN, they expect now a really high level of performers and of musicality. We got the best,” said Marcos.

Jessica thanked the President and First Lady and later told reporters she was “very excited” to sing before regional leaders.

“I’m very excited for that. I think I need some time to really plan out what I’m gonna be singing because I’ll be representing the Filipinos. So I wanna take my time figuring out my song choices,” she said.

The singer, who recently gave birth to her first child, is currently in the Philippines for a New Year’s countdown performance at Newport World Resorts before returning to the United States.
