Singapore-based precision tool fabricator MNEX Pte. Ltd. signed a registration agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) on Dec. 11 to establish a manufacturing facility in Batangas, officials said Monday.
The P180-million project is expected to generate more than 60 direct jobs. Operations will be located at the Light Industry and Science Park III Special Economic Zone in Sto. Tomas and will focus on producing molded parts for various global industries.
PEZA director-general Tereso Panga and MNEX chief executive Goh Su Min signed the agreement, which aims to strengthen the advanced manufacturing ecosystem in the Philippines.
Panga said the agency’s investor-friendly incentives and streamlined processes would allow the company to scale operations and enhance its regional competitiveness.
Established in 2007, MNEX specializes in precision tooling, injection molding, smart automation and assembly solutions.
