Damosa Land to expedite Mindanao projects in 2026

Mindanao-based property developer Damosa Land Inc. is rolling out a series of major hospitality, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects in 2026 as it builds on a strong 2025 and positions itself for continued growth in Mindanao.

Anchoring the company’s 2026 pipeline is the opening of TRYP by Wyndham Samal, Mindanao’s newest international-branded hospitality development. The four-star, 100-room condotel is expected to become a key landmark on Samal Island, featuring a 250-seat ballroom, meeting facilities, dining outlets, and recreational amenities designed to support both leisure and business tourism.

“With TRYP by Wyndham Samal launching next year, we are entering a new chapter that elevates tourism, accelerates estate development, and unlocks greater opportunities for communities and businesses across the region,” said Ricardo Lagdameo, president of Damosa Land.

“Our trajectory in 2025 reflects the confidence investors have in Mindanao and our long-term commitment to its growth,” he said.

Backed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the Samal project is projected to generate P1.2 billion in total sales value and is expected to strengthen the island’s position as a tourism and investment destination. The development also forms part of the Securities and Exchange Commission’s first approved rental pool program under the SEC-RENT framework, setting a precedent for transparency and governance in condotel investments.

In the industrial sector, Damosa Land is preparing several facilities for completion in 2026 at the Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE). These include Thai Coconut Public Company Limited’s coconut milk production facility, a 430-million-Baht investment scheduled for completion in early 2026 and GMAC Logitech Refrigeration Corp.’s expanded cold storage facility set to open in the first quarter of the year.

To support the growing number of locators, construction of the San Pedro Substation is underway, with an initial capacity of 10 MVA and a targeted commissioning by June 2026. The estate also recently activated its Bureau of Fire Protection station to strengthen emergency response capabilities.

At the Damosa IT Park, the first PEZA-accredited IT park in Southern Mindanao, the company expects continued expansion from outsourcing and knowledge process firms in 2026 following recent investments by global KPO firm CloudStaff.

On the residential side, Damosa Land said it would continue advancing Kahi Estates, described as Davao City’s first sustainable agri-residential community with fully underground utilities, as part of its longer-term pipeline for future-ready housing developments.

Beyond physical developments, the company said it would continue strengthening estate management and investor services through its partnership with global real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), as well as supporting education, youth, and sports programs that form part of its community development initiatives.

“Looking ahead to 2026, we remain committed to driving innovation, creating opportunities, and building a Mindanao that sets the standard even on the world stage,” Lagdameo said.
