Security Bank Corp. said it is accelerating its multi-year technology transformation through strategic investments in artificial intelligence, real-time data platforms and modern architecture to enhance operational resilience and customer service.
The lender said its initiatives over the first nine months of 2025 have streamlined core systems, leading to improved compliance efficiency and faster service delivery across its network.
The bank said it shifted from traditional batch processing to enterprise-grade data streaming, allowing it to deliver instant insights and support faster transactions.
Central to this modernization is the Enterprise API Platform, which received the Technology Excellence Award for API-Banking at the 2025 Asian Technology Excellence Awards.
By converting banking capabilities into secure and reusable API products, the bank aims to enable faster deployment of new services and strengthen its readiness for open banking.
Security Bank said it also digitized its compliance and branch operations through the Transactor Due Diligence platform.
Now active across 346 branches, the digital Know Your Customer workflow has eliminated paper reliance and reduced processing times. The initiative was recognized as the Best Compliance Risk Technology Initiative at the Asian Banker Global Financial Technology Awards.
The bank said it intends to continue its roadmap with further investments in artificial intelligence for fraud management, advanced cybersecurity and the modernization of core banking payments.
Future plans also include API monetization and the pursuit of embedded finance partnerships to maintain a competitive advantage in the local market.
Security Bank chief operating officer Lucose Eralil said the bank is building a modern and customer-centric foundation designed to support sustainable growth.
He said the progress reflects disciplined execution and a forward-looking approach to the evolving financial landscape.
