The Alcantara Group marked its 70th anniversary with a milestone celebration honoring its heritage and future direction. Held on December 4, 2025 at the Dusit Thani Residence Davao under the theme “Seventy Years Strong: Forward Together,” the event brought together leaders, employees, partners, and stakeholders across generations.
Hosted in Davao City, where the company was founded, the celebration traced the Group’s evolution from Conrado Alcantara and Sons, Inc. (CASI), established in the mid-1950s, into one of the country’s most diversified Filipino-owned conglomerates.
The program honored founder Conrado Alcantara and the second-generation leaders who expanded the business across energy through the Alsons Power Unit, aquaculture and agriculture through the Alsons Agribusiness Unit, and real estate through Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev), alongside other subsidiaries.
A curated anniversary exhibit highlighted the Group’s seven-decade journey from its Mindanao roots to its national footprint.
The program also recognized the contributions of employees, partners, and communities whose shared values and collaboration have sustained the Group’s growth and resilience through changing economic and industry conditions.
“We owe this milestone to the men and women across generations who helped shape the Alcantara Group into what it is today. What has kept us strong is not strategy alone, but the spirit of unity and service that has guided us from the beginning—growth that uplifts both people and communities,” said Alcantara Group chairman Nicasio I. Alcantara.
With the third generation assuming greater leadership responsibilities, the Alcantara Group’s subsidiaries, including Alsons Dev, remain focused on carrying forward its mission. As the Group’s real estate arm, Alsons Dev develops communities in line with a broader vision for Mindanao, translating stewardship into sustainable growth.
“As we look to the future, we do so with renewed purpose—to sustain what has been built and grow it with the same vision, integrity, and care that defined the generations before us,” said Alsons Dev president and CEO Miguel Rene A. Dominguez.
