Vilma hits at bashers, claims video is flawed

BATANGAS Gov. Vilma Santos-Recto on Friday hit back at her bashers and dismissed the viral video on her as “misleading and taken out of context.”

In a press briefing, the governor claimed they were being targeted “because we are up there and you are down there,” referring to her critics.

The former actress and wife of Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, said “portions of the interview were selectively edited, creating a false narrative that suggests she was demeaning the public.” 

In a statement, she said her message was a reminder for the public to exercise discernment in social media, verify information, and avoid spreading manipulated content that can harm healthy public discourse.”
