PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP), acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. reported that they confiscated loose firearms and ammunition for different calibers of firearms and the arrest of a fugitive from the law during an operation in Occidental Mindoro.
Nartatez identified the fugitive as Ramon Expiredito Alcantara believed to be involved in multiple crimes.

“This is the reason why we have been focusing on strategic operations to account for all these fugitives, particularly those in the most wanted list from municipal to national levels,” he said.
“Our aggressive operations against fugitives from the law come with equal efforts to account for loose firearms as these are usually the instruments in committing crimes,” he added.
