Reservations now open for All-new GR Corolla, retail sales start December 23
Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is ending the year with the highly anticipated launch of the all-new GR Corolla, with retail sales commencing on December 23. This robust, 5-door hot hatch is the latest high-performance addition to TMP’s Gazoo Racing (GR) performance lineup, joining the GR Supra, GR Yaris, and GR 86.
Engineered with a strong rally heritage and experience gained in motorsports like Formula D, the 24 Hours of Fuji, and the British Touring Car Championship, the GR Corolla is designed for exceptional performance and enhanced handling across various conditions, from circuit racing, rally racing, to everyday commutes. TMP Chairman Alfred Ty stated, “The all-new GR Corolla is designed to bring thrills to everyday drives,” emphasizing its adaptability to both track days and city trips.
This all-wheel drive (AWD) ‘pocket rocket’ is powered by a potent 1.6-liter turbocharged G16E-GTS: 3-Cylinder, In-line, DOHC 4-Valve Roller-Rocker engine, delivering a maximum output of 300 PS and peak torque of 400 Nm between 3,250 and 4,600 rpm. Performance is visually complemented by an aerodynamic silhouette, 18-inch aluminum wheels, Bi-LED headlights, and a triple exhaust system.
The GR Corolla distinguishes itself by offering a comfortable, functional five-seater interior, ensuring that passengers can “hop in and out of the vehicle” easily, with a spacious second row for comfort during group drives. The driver-focused cabin features a 12.3-inch Multi Info Display, a Head-Up Display, and a 7-inch Display Audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivers can tailor their experience using various drive modes, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Gravel, and Track.
This off-the-shelf track weapon does not compromise on safety, equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) package, which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), and Lane Departure Alert (LDA). The A/T variant is equipped with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, while the M/T variant features Adaptive Cruise Control.
The all-new GR Corolla is available either in a 6-Speed 1.6L Turbo M/T (₱3,811,000) or an 8-Speed 1.6L Turbo A/T (₱3,955,000), with premium color options available for an additional ₱20,000. Reservations are now open at Toyota GR dealerships nationwide.
