With a roadmap worth looking forward to as early as now
CHONGQING, China – China Changan Automobile Group celebrated a momentous corporate milestone this December, officially rolling its 30 millionth vehicle off the production line. This achievement not only highlights the company’s long-term growth but also signifies its major evolution into a global intelligent mobility technology company.
The company’s commitment to safety remains paramount, a focus that began with China’s first minivan crash test in 1999. Today, Changan is redefining vehicle protection in the smart era with its newly launched “SDA Intelligence,” a holistic safety ecosystem that moves beyond passive structures to secure both passengers and their data, ensuring a “Safe Journey Home” in every dimension. This is supported by the industry’s only State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Vehicle Safety Technology, which utilizes the proprietary CA-ITVS verification system to subject vehicles to over five million kilometers of testing, guaranteeing a lifespan of 10 years or 260,000 kilometers.
Driven by its overarching Green and Intelligent strategies, Changan is bringing tangible innovations to market. The Green Plan focuses on electrification, battery safety, and new energy vehicle ecosystems, highlighted by the Golden Shield Battery system and high-frequency pulse heating for improved cold-weather efficiency. Simultaneously, the Intelligent Plan advances vehicle intelligence, autonomous systems, and connectivity. Furthermore, the BlueCore 3.0 powertrain ensures that internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid solutions balance high performance with exceptional fuel economy, guaranteeing efficient and reliable journeys.
Looking ahead, Changan has unveiled a visionary roadmap for 2030. The company plans to rank among the world’s top 10 automotive brands with ambitious annual sales of 5 million units. To achieve this global standing, the company expects over 60% of its sales to be New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and 30% of its total sales to originate from overseas markets. In parallel with its vehicle strategy, Changan is also actively expanding the boundaries of mobility by developing humanoid robots for potential deployment by 2028.
