This brought the 11-month industry sales to 420,776 units, reflecting a marginal 1-percent contraction from 425,208 units sold in the same period in 2024.

The industry’s performance remains split between a surging commercial segment and a struggling passenger car market as commercial vehicle (CV) sales grew 6.8 percent year-to-date to 335,859 units from 314,563 units and accounting for nearly 80 percent of the total market.

Within this segment, heavy-duty trucks and buses saw the highest growth at 41.2 percent, while light commercial vehicles rose 7.9 percent.

The passenger car (PC) segment saw a 23.3-percent decline in 11 months to 84,917 units from 110,645 units a year earlier.

Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. remained the market leader, holding a 48.85 percent market share with 205,552 units sold in 11 months.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines followed in second place with 79,252 units or 18.83-percent share, while Ford Motor Company Phils. accounted for 4.75-percent share.

Suzuki Phils. Inc. and Nissan Philippines Inc. rounded out the top five.

The latest report also highlighted the growth of electrified vehicles (xEVs), which grew 6.5 percent in November.

Sales of battery electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles reached 3,837 units in November, a 6.5 percent increase from 3,603 units in the previous month.

Total xEV sales reached 28,102 units, representing 6.68 percent of the total automotive market. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) continued to lead this category, accounting for 78.38 percent of all electrified units sold in 2025.

CAMPI said it remains confident in the industry’s growth as manufacturers continue to expand their product offerings, enhance supply availability and support the country’s transition toward sustainable mobility.
