Lalamove said Thursday it will implement zero commission on fares for its transport network vehicle services partner drivers and ease surge pricing for commuters throughout the holiday season.
The company said the move supports recent directives from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for transport network vehicle services operators and transport network companies.
The zero percent commission offer for partner drivers will remain in effect until Jan. 4, 2026, to help ensure rides remain accessible and affordable during the holidays, it said.
Lalamove said it recognizes the transportation challenges faced by Filipino commuters, particularly during periods of high demand.
By removing commission fees and lowering surge rates, the company aims to reduce the financial burden on both riders and drivers, it said.
Lalamove reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the community and contributing to more convenient and affordable transportation options.
The LTFRB earlier issued a circular imposing a surge pricing cap on TNVS. To balance the impact of the surge pricing cap, the LTFRB allowed ride-hailing services to start charging passengers once a booking is accepted, instead of from the pickup point.
