The Insurance Commission has lifted its cease-and-desist order against Medocare Health Systems Inc. (MHSI) and released the health maintenance organization from conservatorship effective Dec. 16, 2025.
The regulator announced the decision in a public notice on Wednesday, ending a six-month period where the company was prohibited from conducting business.
The commission originally placed the firm under conservatorship on June 18 due to non-compliance with product approval rules.
According to the regulator, MHSI had failed to follow Circular Letter No 2017-19, which establishes guidelines to ensure publicly offered products meet minimum standards and documentary requirements.
Financial data showed MHSI registered P374.75 million in total assets and a net income of P12.56 million as of the first quarter of 2025.
