DigiPlus Interactive Corp. unveiled a player-first responsible gaming strategy during the Global Gaming Expo Asia Philippines on Dec. 11, emphasizing the use of data analytics to promote healthy play on digital platforms.
The digital entertainment provider, which operates brands such as BingoPlus and ArenaPlus, detailed a four-step framework during a panel titled “Innovations in Responsible Gaming and Corporate Social Responsibility.”
The framework focuses on education, prevention, intervention and treatment support. New innovations are scheduled for broader implementation across all platforms starting in 2026.
Erick Su, head of DigiPlus ArenaPlus, said during the discussion at the Manila Marriott Hotel that the constant accessibility of digital platforms requires safeguards to be embedded directly into platform design.
He noted that while regulatory requirements serve as a minimum standard, operators must proactively use technology to protect players at an early stage.
The company’s educational efforts begin during the onboarding process. DigiPlus uses Know-Your-Customer processes to prevent minors and restricted individuals from accessing its services while providing information on available responsible gaming features.
To support prevention, the platform analyzes aggregated and consent-based customer data to identify play patterns that may indicate risk. When potential issues are detected, the system recommends preventive measures to help users maintain control over their gaming habits.
For intervention, players are encouraged to use built-in tools such as deposit limits, bet caps and session duration settings. DigiPlus provides 24-hour customer support to assist users in activating these features. In cases where further assistance is needed, the company facilitates self-exclusion through regulatory channels and collaborates with external organizations to provide professional treatment support.
The panel was moderated by Ryan Hong-Wai Ho, a lecturer and program coordinator at the Macao Polytechnic University Centre for Gaming and Tourism Studies. Other speakers included Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. official Ma. Vina Claudette Oca and Nerie Aquino, a director for gaming compliance for a Philippine integrated resort operator.
DigiPlus served as the joint Exclusive Conference Track Sponsor for the event, which brought together industry leaders to discuss the balance between innovation and player protection. The company currently views responsible gaming as a core pillar of its sustainable growth strategy in the digital sector.
