The delegation expressed a keen interest in establishing a regular dialogue mechanism, facilitating business matching activities and promoting cultural exchanges.

They also discussed opportunities for two-way trade, leveraging the GBA’s robust manufacturing capabilities alongside the Philippines’ specialized agricultural products.

Consul General Iric Cruz Arribas cited the significant prospects for collaboration between the GBA and the Philippines.

“The Greater Bay Area’s potential for meaningful opportunities for collaboration with the Philippines is immense,” he said.

Liang noted the association’s focus on green energy investments, specifically photovoltaic (solar) power projects in the Philippines.

“Green energy is a natural area of convergence for both sides, and we look forward to working with enterprises that can help expand renewable capacity and deepen long-term economic cooperation,” Arribas said. Michael Wong Ho
