The Aboitiz Group, through Aboitiz Foundation, has provided Home Recovery Assistance Packages to 225 families in San Remigio, Cebu, whose homes were damaged by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake on September 30, 2025.
The packages include cement vouchers, construction materials, and cash support, helping families start repairing or rebuilding their homes. Of the beneficiaries, 168 households with partial damage received P10,000 each, while 57 families with total damage received P30,000 each.
This support is part of OneAboitiz’s continuing disaster response, which has reached over P17 million, benefiting more than 37,000 families across North Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Programs cover relief and recovery for Uwan in North Luzon, Typhoon Tino in the Visayas, and the earthquake impacts in Cebu and Davao.
At the turnover ceremony, AboitizPower Distribution Utilities COO Anton Perdices highlighted the resilience of families affected by calamities.
“When the earthquake happened, it wasn’t only your houses that were shaken, but your sense of safety and peace of mind. Pero karon, as I stand here, I see something far stronger than destruction. I see families who continue to rise. I see San Remigio — buhi, barog, ug nagpadayon. These vouchers are not just materials; they are tools to rebuild hope, dignity, and the place you call home,” he said.
Perdices also thanked Mayor Mariano Martinez, partners Republic Cement, Vic Enterprises, and OneAboitiz volunteers for supporting community recovery. The Foundation remains true to its commitment to long-term rehabilitation, helping families restore homes, livelihoods, and normalcy.
