Millions of Sen. Erwin Tulfo’s 2025 campaign funds came from donors linked to brother solons Eric and Edvic Yap, whose assets were among those frozen for their alleged involvement in anomalous multi-billion flood control projects.
According to a report by the Bilyonaryo News Channel, Tulfo’s Statements of Contributions and Expenditures (SOCE) showed that his total campaign contributions came from six donors.
Of the declared funds, ₱100,000 worth of tarpaulin contributions came from Earth Yard Corporation and ₱30,000 worth of tarpaulin contributions were from Ever Young Industrial Sales.
The report also noted that ₱15 million in cash was donated by Richard Chiong, a known business partner of the Yap brothers, while approximately ₱45 million came from Victoria G. Yap—their mother.
Another donor, Linda So, contributed ₱45 million, and ₱15 million came from an individual identified as Cesar Basco.
Bilyonaryo said these donors were among individuals or entities reportedly owned by or tied to the Yap brothers.
The report said that while So and Basco themselves do not appear in the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) freeze order, the Court of Appeals’ order includes Benguet Rep. Eric Yap, ACT-CIS Rep. Edvic Yap, spouses—Harlyn So Yap and Margie Basco Yap.
