Ben&Ben drummer Jam Villanueva announced she will be leaving the folk-pop band next year.
On Thursday, Dec. 11, a video was released on the band’s official social media accounts with Jam saying that 2026 will be her final year. She noted that major life events prompted her decision to step away.
“In 2024, I got married. And in April 2025, I injured my wrist. These two events have developed and strengthened my values and in turn, redefined the life I see myself living,” she said.
“There’s no easy way to say this—next year, 2026, is my last year with the band,” Jam continued.
In the video, she reflected on her years with Ben&Ben, recalling her early love for music and describing her role within the group with a reference to one of their songs.
“Yes, ako yung saranggola. And just like the song, the greatest and most important part of all of this is the friendships and relationships I’ve gained through it all,” Jam shared.
She encouraged fans to join them at their upcoming shows as she closes out her final year with the band.
“Let’s make next year a fun and memorable one,” she added.
Ben&Ben has yet to announce plans for a replacement.
